The Review

This was such a fun and exciting read. The author found the right balance between children’s book storytelling, hip-hop lyrical writing style, and dynamic character development with which children would be happy to connect. The illustrations and pops of color on the page are also an immediate attention grabber for readers.

The author’s ability to bring fun and hip-hop to young readers when discussing health and wellness, both of the body and mind, was fascinating. How each character got their unique personality and perspectives on this topic allowed children to engage with and harness the author’s message.
