A drug manufacturer reaches out to Death’s interns for help when werewolves take hold of their latest deadly drug in author D.C. Gomez’s “From Eugene with Love”, a novella in the Intern Diaries series.
The Synopsis

* From Eugene with Love is a humorous Urban Fantasy Novella part of the Intern Diaries Series. What do the boys do when Isis Black is not around to supervise them? The usual, pick fights with dangerous werewolf gang and find ways to destroy Texarkana.
The Review
A compelling entry in an already beloved urban fantasy series, the author does a remarkable job of crafting a narrative that fits perfectly into this world while adding depth to the mythos. The witty dialogue and balance of action and world-building, which the series has come to be known for, are definitely present, and the rich character dynamics at play are perfectly translated into this new story with ease.
The thing that made this story stand out was how it could exist as a standalone while still maintaining direct ties to the larger story being told in this urban fantasy series. The protagonist is a standout as well, showing a different side of the world by following Pestilence and the team that works under that horseman, while Death’s team continues to draw Eugene in. The relatability of his struggles to find his place in the world and his genuine outlook on life make Eugene a prominent character to relate to.
The Verdict
Action-packed, thrilling, and enthralling, author D.C. Gomez’s “From Eugene with Love” is the perfect addition to the Death’s Intern series and a powerful urban fantasy read. The twists and turns in the story, the deep dive into Death’s intern mythos, and the heartfelt humor that the dialogue brings to life will keep readers invested until the book’s finale.
