The Review

A truly engaging and memorable read, the authors doe a wonderful job of creating a book that feels interactive and engaging. The experience and authority the authors bring to the subject allow the reader to feel at ease and invested in the long-term commitment to documentation that this book promises.

Each page takes the time to give readers a chance to document several things that contribute to skincare every day. These include workout routines, morning routines, a person’s mood each day and how much sleep a person gets each night, on top of many others. The balance between mental and physical health and how they contribute to skincare is emphasized as well, and each weekly check-in engages the reader to explore a new topic of thought, like what are 3 things a person loves about themselves and why. The authors also lay out routines and practices each month as the journal progresses as well.

The Synopsis

Perspectives is a guided journal to help you become a better human. In times like these, we should all work on unifying and relating to each other. This book awakens you to another level of awareness, realizing that human beings are more profound and more complex than the labels prescribed to us. If you want a resource to shed some light on removing the barriers that can divide us, this book is it.

This book will help reward you through a journey of the following:

Assess and process with self-reflections the core of your perspectives
Explore the various ways in which we are different and how it can cause misunderstandings
Address how to communicate your voice while empathically listening to others effectively
Practical, hands-on exercises and tips to having successful real-life interactions

The Review

This was an insightful and engaging journal. The emphasis is on putting readers in an interactive space to grow and engage with the prompts that the author gave throughout the journal. Examining different viewpoints and mindsets in this book allows the reader to put the book’s purpose into practice.

That purpose is the driving force behind this book. Often, we end up viewing the world only through our lens. Yet, the world’s population comprises so many different perspectives that the ability to step back from oneself and look at things through another person’s viewpoint allows us to connect to the world at large and, at that moment, connect even more profoundly with ourselves.

Take a Food Journey Around the World!

The Verdict

Engaging, thoughtful, and interactive author Kendra Q. Dodd’s “Perspectives” is a must-read and must-use journal. The everyday questions and perspectives the author gives readers to ponder upon and write about will provide insight into those around them and how to connect with the world. If you haven’t yet, be sure to grab your copy today!
