A woman swept into a powerful affair discovers a sinister fate at play in author Giancarlo Roversi’s “Marlenh”, a Pulstar Prequel.
The Synopsis

Marlenh is about to make the biggest mistake of her life …
She lives in the chaotic nation of Astralvia, but she has a wealthy husband who adores her and pleases her in every way so she can enjoy a privileged life. Still, Marlenh starts an online flirtation with Rickhard Frey, an enigmatic successful politician who seems to be the perfect man. Soon, she falls for his charms.
Thus, Marlenh embarks on an intense affair with Rick, which spirals out of control and becomes something seedy, something insane.
When Marlenh makes a crucial decision in her life, she discovers a horrifying truth about Rick that could destroy her and her family.
Now Marlenh must confront Rick and his entire macabre world. She must also discover why he orchestrated this sinister destiny for her—a fate she has to overcome somehow, even if it seems impossible.
Marlenh is a thriller brimming with sex, lies, mystery, and suspense. The saga begins thirty years before the events of Pulstar I – The Swan Barely Remembers, the first book in the Pulstar trilogy. Read Marlenh as a stand-alone novel while listening to its official soundtrack, composed for piano by the author.
The Review
This was a provocative and thrilling read. The author does an amazing job of world-building and capturing both the heat of the affair between the protagonist and Rick, while also showcasing the depths of the mystery and shadowy work at play behind the scenes that the protagonist stumbles across.
The heart of this narrative rests in the rich chemistry of the characters and their dynamics with one another. One thing that stood out to me was how Marlenh’s actions led to the breakdown of several relationships, and strained others in the process. The infusion of the author’s fictional world and the twists and turns that bring this story into that narrative really work well here, and the emotional weight of the protagonist’s journey made this book all the more worthwhile.
The Verdict
Shocking, thrilling, and engaging, author Giancarlo Roversi’s “Marlenh”, is a steamy thriller you won’t be able to put down. The balance of sci-fi and character-driven narrative, as well as the dynamic mythos the author fleshes out in this prequel, will keep readers enthralled and ready for the next entry in this series. About the Author

Venezuela-born Giancarlo Roversi isn’t only a writer. He’s also a computer engineer and a musician who shared stages with artists such as REM, Oasis, Travis, Duran Duran, and Maroon Five.
When his band Fractaler broke up in 2011, he devoted the next ten years to cue the Pulstar Trilogy and three prequels in that universe.
He surrendered his personal life and wrote these manuscripts in his native language, Spanish, and then he translated them into English. He also composed a soundtrack for each book; they’re currently in production.
When he’s not living and breathing in his Pulstarverse, he loves family time, cooking, astronomy, animals, and having philosophical discussions—especially about the meaning of life—with anyone who cares to join him.
