The highly anticipated Gearbox software game Aliens: Colonial Marines, is a sequel game to the highly regarded Aliens film. Playing as a group of marines exploring this abandoned planet from the Aliens film, and encountering the Xenomorph threat. Having to watch out for blood thirsty aliens, acid-like blood splashing across your face, and hand-shaped creatures waiting to impregnate you with baby Xenomorphs, Colonial Marines will also host a multiplayer mode that will allow your to play as both a marine and a Xenomorph. With the film Prometheus at the forefront of everyone’s minds right now, the collaborative effort between Gearbox and 20th Century Fox has clearly shown in the gameplay trailers, and is a true survival/shooter/horror/sci-fi game at its core, and is a true homage to the Alien saga. Think a mix between Dead Space and Left 4 Dead as far as gameplay, combined with the unique story of Aliens. Look for this game February 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii U.
