Author Chris Madden shares how to market in a way that puts patients first in the book “Marketing Digital Health.”
The Synopsis

Marketing in digital health is different. Trust must be earned and is fragile. Regulation is real. Outcomes matter and reaching your audience is high stakes. The standard growth playbooks break quickly when privacy, clinical nuance, and compliance are essential.
Marketing Digital Health distills more than 30 conversations with leaders across virtual-first care into a practical system for durable patient growth. Organized into five parts, including Foundations, Go-to-Market Execution, and Navigating Regulation, this book helps you pressure-test your marketing engine, identify structural weaknesses early, and build the visibility, credibility, and scale required to deliver real care at scale.
The Review
This was a very compelling and captivating read. The ways in which the health world and business as a whole are evolving in the digital age are already astounding, but the author’s framing of these medical advancements and technologies, and of how people interact with them, is so insightful and engaging that the reader can get lost in it. The unique thing about this book was how the author framed the marketing of new medical technologies, making it easier for readers to understand. It was not merely a tool for selling products, but a means of getting this technology into the hands of those who need it.
For that has been at the heart of so many medical battles over the years, and the digital age is no different. Especially in an age when low-income families struggle to make ends meet and access quality healthcare, services like telehealth and health-related apps are a tremendous source of information and support that everyone deserves access to. The author found a good balance of real-world examples for readers to draw upon, while also addressing practical marketing practices such as establishing trust and focusing on growing the patient list rather than just the quick sell.
The Verdict
Honest, impactful, and engaging, Author Chris Madden’s “Marketing Digital Health” is a must-read nonfiction book that blends business and health. The amount of knowledge and insight the reader gains from the extensive research. The author’s personable yet straightforward approach keeps readers engaged, both professionally and personally.
