This was a poignant and compelling collection of poetry and photography. The author does a fantastic job of crafting each poem to fit not only the image of the photograph that accompanies it, but also allows plenty of room for the reader’s own imagination and emotional connection to take hold. Readers will find this collection is one they can reread over and over again, as its quick pacing allows them to mark favorite passages and poems for inspiration whenever it strikes.

What stood out about this book was the powerful themes and the way the author wrote each poem. Leaving plenty of room for interpretation and personal meaning for each reader, the poems touched upon everything from cycles of life, death, and rebirth to the lingering pain of past relationships and the hope for new ones as they arise. This allowed for in-depth, emotional connections to form among the authors, the writing, the powerful imagery, and the readers themselves.
