THE REVIEW

This was a profound and deeply moving book. The author does a wonderful job balancing personal growth and storytelling, with scientific insight and social understanding that many readers can get behind. The book’s unique structure also stands out: the author divides it into four sections based on the seasons of the year, with 52 vignettes to match the number of weeks in a year. Yet readers can choose the order they read the book and use it as a reference time and again.

The heart of this book lies in the emotional depth each section offers through its strong themes of resilience and hope. The author uses personal experiences not only to connect with readers, but also to offer heartfelt messages that can improve daily life and round out the self-help book with a variety of perspectives. One section that really stood out was the chapter on the world needing empathy and the impact empathizing with others can have not only on them, but on us as well.

THE VERDICT

Compelling, enriching, and memorable, Author Chris Bentley’s “Moments of Joy” is a must-read non-fiction self-help guide and reference book. These chapters offer emotional and psychological support and balance, along with powerful insights from the author’s personal experiences. It brings light and hope to readers’ minds and hearts as they relate to the Author’s struggles and triumphs. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to grab your copy today!
