The Review
This was a passionately written collection of poetic essays that delved into the heart of the philosophical debate over society and its evolution. The author perfectly captures the emotional beats that underlie the social and political currents of our world. The depth of detail the author puts into each scenario and chapter balances the beautiful yet haunting imagery in the poetic writing style the author utilizes.
The central ideas and values the author delves into address the shocking realities people face daily. From the strain of economic stress and class system divides to the ways in which people often take out their frustrations with the world on those that are different from themselves, be that a neighbor or loved one, the thought-provoking analysis of the social challenges people face these days was delivered in an emotionally-driven way that felt much more impactful.
The Verdict
Memorable, honest, and engaging, author Eric S. Hoffman’s “25 Fires” is a must-read: a poetry-meets-philosophical-essay nonfiction book impossible to put down. The fast-paced book and the way the author delves into the heart of each aspect of society, increasingly prevalent worldwide, will make readers not only pay attention but also question their own reality and expectations of themselves.
