THE REVIEW

This was a compelling and gripping crime thriller. The author does an amazing job layering the story with mystery and intrigue, pacing the novel evenly so both the crimes and the investigation reveal new secrets and insights that keep readers on the edge of their seats as the story progresses. The powerful imagery and atmospheric writing style immerse readers in the investigation and connect them to both the protagonist and the antagonist in their own ways.

The depth of character development and the shifting perspectives the author uses really help establish this new crime thriller series while also giving the novel’s main narrative the passion it deserves. Getting to see from the perspective of both this lone wolf investigator, whom readers slowly get to know and become fascinated with as their own secrets linger beneath the surface of their character development, as well as the complex nature of the killer’s motivation and their own moral code that drives their crimes, allowed readers to feel the unique similarities that drive both of these characters.

THE VERDICT

Compelling, intriguing, and thought-provoking, Author Noah Christopher’s “The Confessor” is a must-read crime thriller novel. This entertaining, gripping thriller gives readers two unique perspectives and a mystery filled with twists, leading to a third and final act that will shock and engage readers mentally and emotionally, leaving them eager for the next entry in this compelling series.
